Grace and Truth must always go together in authentic Christian ministry. Their focal point is and has always been Jesus Christ, as they came together in Him, God's Glory was displayed to all the world.
This publication considers how preachers today can proclaim Grace and Truth together, as they expound the bible from the pulpit. Two senior Methodists, one a local preacher and former vice-president of the Methodist conference, the other a minister currently serving as principal of Cliff College, both consider the expositor's task, one from the perspective of preaching Truth, the other from the perspective of preaching Grace, both warning of the dangers of proclaiming one without the other. Their words offer an important contribution to current debates, not only within 'Methodism', but also across the wider Church. In an additional chapter, another senior Methodist minister, Howard Mellor, describes the flow of God's Grace and Truth, and the subsequent growth of the Church, throughout China and Hong Kong, identifying, encouraging and challenging lessons for the Church in the west.
